Opening Weekend Update 2/21/26 and 2/22/26❄️🎿
We are excited to share that thanks to the recent snowfall, our chair lifts will be open this weekend! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the mountain for opening weekend. At this time, however, the tubing park will not be open. While we received great snow for skiing and snowboarding, we need additional preparation time to safely build and groom the tubing lanes to our standards.
Our team is working hard to get the tubing park ready, and we will share an update as soon as an opening date is confirmed. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you on the slopes!
Chains and 4WD are HIGHLY recommended. The roads are snow covered and cold!
Ticket Office opens at 8:00 am on Saturday February 21st, 2026.
Lifts run from 9am-4pm.
Note: We are cashless. All purchases at ticket office and Warming Hut are credit card only.
No refunds. If you purchase a ticket for this ski season you must redeem it during this season. Previous years ticket purchases are NOT redeemable.
❄️If you are coming up the mountain from the Bakersfield area DO NOT take Rancheria or Sawmill Road like Google Maps is suggesting!
Take either Hwy 155 through Glenville or go through Lake Isabella towards Wofford Heights to Hwy 155.
Alta Sierra Ski Resort offers Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Tubing. There are lessons for skiing and snowboarding available. You can rent equipment for skiing, boarding, and tubing. Located just 1 hour from Bakersfield, we are your winter fun destination! There is something for everyone.
